  • I'm slacking off here

I haven't updated this in almost a week!

Things are going o.k.  I'm doing better than I was the weekend before I last posted, but still not quite 100% of my normal.  Tomorrow I'm restarting the Symbicort and we'll see how that goes...  I do have an appt. next week with our family doctor to rule out anything else unrelated.  It had to be "approved" because they don't do "well-check" physicals for first time patients--um, I didn't say it was a well-check visit, but whatever. lol  The dr. obviously knows me well--I've been there enough with the kids.  I'm going in with Ben for his last follow-up from his accident.   We're also counting it as his 18 mth check up a couple weeks early to save myself a trip. lol  I think I've paid and will be paying more in co-pays than I'll end up paying the hospitals. LOL  Anyway... the nurse for my lung doctor wants me to have the dr. fax over the results for my record there so he knows everything is good, or what's wrong if they find anything.

Jesse had his first swim lesson today and he really liked it--until he accidently dunked himself in the water. LOL  But he's still looking forward to tomorrow.  I think once he gets used to it, he'll do fine.  He was a bit nervous in the water with all the other kids around.  They had these really cool things on the bottom of the pool so he could stand in the water and not be too deep--I've never seen those before and thought it was a great idea for the little ones just starting out.  I took Ben to the tot drop play area so I wouldn't have to chase him around the pool.  He managed. LOL  He's having issues again with separation anxiety since his accident and yesterday in the church nursery was not pretty.     Today he did better than I expected, but someone was holding him the whole time. LOL  Tomorrow, I *might* take my suit and swim over in the open swim area while Jesse has lessons.  We'll see how I feel tomorrow.  It's something I've been wanting to do for awhile, but just never got around to.  I thought I'd have time in the summer to try it, but then my overall activity endurance went down the toilet so...I haven't made it yet.  Being active is a good thing, but it has to be at my own pace.  Oh, and I'd be going alone.  Taking all the kids to the pool with me wouldn't work so well.  For one thing, my pace would no longer be mine. LOL  So that's why I thought of going while Jesse was already occupied, and Ben was in the play area.  The big kids can stay home with Chris (he's working from home)   I like to swim, and I know how to swim, I just have absolutely no endurance whatsoever in the water. lol  That's also why I don't like swimming on super hot days--I can't stay in the water long enough with the kids to stay cool, I get too tired.  And if I sit outside watching kids, I melt or fry under the sun.
